Elybeth Sofia Alcantar

Elybeth Sofia Alcantar is currently pursuing a PhD in geography at the University of Texas at Austin. Originally from San Diego, Alcantar studies ecological and political induced displacement of communities from Oaxaca, Mexico. She holds a bachelor's degree from California State University, Chico and a master's degree from San Deigo State University, both of which were in Latin American Studies with an emphasis in geography.
