Democrats Release a Robust Infrastructure Plan

WASHINGTON – Senate Democrats released their proposal today to boost investments in infrastructure by $1 trillion over the next decade.

The following is a statement by Stephanie Gidigbi, who coordinates infrastructure issues for the Natural Resources Defense Council:

“This is what a genuine 21st century infrastructure proposal looks like: robust investments in our urban and rural roads, in our deteriorating mass transit systems and in our failing water systems. On the other hand, President Trump and congressional Republicans are trying to use their infrastructure agenda as a back-door way to steamroll important environmental protections.”
