Nick Offerman & Friends to Host Comedy Event Supporting NRDC at “Netflix is a Joke. Fest”

Evening to feature performances by Nicole Byer, Mae Martin, Steve Agee, and Pattie Gonia in support of critical climate and environmental work

LOS ANGELES, CA — Nick Offerman is hosting a charity comedy show as part of Netflix’s second annual “Netflix is a Joke. Fest” to benefit NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council), a leading international environmental nonprofit organization. The show will feature Nicole Byer, Mae Martin, Steve Agee, and Pattie Gonia.

“Nick Offerman & Friends vs. Climate Crisis” will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 7pm at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre. The show will support NRDC’s work to confront the climate crisis, protect public health and safeguard nature. Tickets are available here.

“Please join me and some much more attractive comedy luminaries as we support the important work of the NRDC by sneaking broccoli into our delectable comedy pizza. Given the number of local dispensaries, some of the performances are even likely to be ‘grass-fed,’” said Nick Offerman.

“Nick’s passion for protecting this planet and its people is as genuine as he is funny,” said Kristin Wilson-Palmer, chief communications officer for NRDC. “By lending his voice—and bringing his friends with him—they are putting a spotlight on some of the most important environmental challenges of our time, providing support for NRDC’s work and offering some much-needed comic relief along the way.”

Netflix is a Joke. Fest is the biggest comedy festival in North America, produced by Netflix in association with Live Nation from May 2 to May 12, 2024. Nick Offerman & Friends vs. Climate Crisis will be one event in over 300 live stand-up shows, special events, table reads, sketches and more over the course of the festival.
