The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) hosts a biennial Summer Study focused on energy efficiency in buildings. The 2022 theme was “Climate Solutions: Efficiency, Equity, and Decarbonization.” During this year’s conference, professionals from around the world came together to brainstorm how best to decarbonize buildings, boost their efficiency, and advance equity. The conference included formal presentations of four hundred-plus research papers and many informal sessions.
NRDC co-authored three ACEEE Summer Study papers and presentations and had a number of staffers attend the conference. NRDC’s Alejandra Mejia Cunningham also had the honor of co-leading a Summer Study panel on Energy Efficiency Policy in the U.S. & Beyond. Learn more and read the three NRDC collaborative papers.
- NRDC staffer Veena Singla and former staffer Kelsey Kane-Ritsch co-authored a paper on integrating health, tenants, and workforce in building decarbonization in Los Angeles with LA partners Strategic Actions for a Just Economy, Inclusive Economics, and Los Angeles Alliance for New Economy, titled “Integrating Housing, Workforce, Health and Energy Equity in Building Decarbonization in Los Angeles, California”
