Another week in natural gas drilling, another fracking blow-out

Last night in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, a natural gas well blew out during a fracking operation. According to news reports, thousands of gallons of frack fluid blew out near homes and onto farms, and the fluids have contaminated Towanda Creek, which flows into the Susquehanna River.

Yes, this is the same Bradford County where there are reports that up to 100 households have had their drinking water wells contaminated by natural gas production operations. It is one of the communities across the nation currently serving as guinea pigs in the new rush to exploit natural gas reserves without adequate regulation or oversight.
