We've blogged before about concerns about the potential for mortgages, homeowners insurance, and title insurance being restricted in areas with current or even just planned oil or gas development. For anyone following this issue, a new report from WTAE in Pittsburgh may be of interest. According to the report, a couple was denied mortgages by three national companies because of a wellpad across the street. According to one mortgage company, nearby gas wells: "can significantly degrade a property's value."
